Red River, a technology consulting firm focused on US federal, state, and local government clients. Red River engages with customers in the federal and SLED markets interested in optimizing business processes and maximizing the value of their investments.
The Challenge
Red River is the first cloud broker for the United States Navy – providing a ‘path to cloud’ for the Navy mission as well as managing the underlying security tools, consumption of cloud and client support units – all in a secure, compliant, and accredited managed services subscription model. For the U.S. Navy’s Commercial Cloud Brokerage Services for Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC), Red River developed and provides a managed services framework. This solution enables the Navy to achieve its cloud adoption mandate and centrally manage, track, and report cost and performance data for applications hosted within secure virtual environments. Red River was looking to expand its service capabilities to include data, analytics, and machine learning.
The Solution
Tactical Edge AI worked with Red River to build a suite of capabilities on AWS around enabling Federal customers to leverage advanced analytics and AI capabilities as part of their cloud offerings. We built an AI CoE (Center of Excellence) on AWS. The AI CoE enabled onboarding advanced capabilities in a smaller scope with an open-minded approach and then leveraged the small wins to scale it across the organization. The second task was to accelerate pre-trained AI adoption and software delivery and promote experimentation. This resulted in the creation of the MLOps Platform on AWS offering for Federal customers to accelerate the adoption of Artificial Intelligence to discover insights at machine speed on Amazon SageMaker. Both of these applications helped tackle broader Data & AI-based Digital Transformation efforts.
