The Challenge
HÖRMANN Digital sought to test a retrofit condition-monitoring approach for automated warehouse facilities. With different machinery in use at selected test locations, the proof of concept evaluated whether sensor data and alerts could help maintenance teams identify potential issues earlier and work within the existing environment.
The Solution
Tactical Edge supported HÖRMANN Digital in evaluating Amazon Monitron through a limited proof-of-concept deployment at selected test sites.
The proof of concept used sensors and the service's machine-learning-assisted condition monitoring to evaluate alerts for selected equipment. Maintenance teams remained responsible for interpreting alerts and deciding what action, if any, to take.
